Getting to Roskilde University

From Copenhagen Airport (CPH) 

 

Option 1: Train (Recommended)

  • Step 1: From Terminal 3 station, take a regional or Øresundståg train to København H (~15 min), then transfer to a train bound for Trekroner Station (~30 min)
  • Total travel time: ~45 minutes
  • Ticket cost: Approx. DKK 92 for zones 1–99 
     

Option 2: Taxi

  • Direct taxi to campus takes ~30–40 minutes, DKK 600–700 
     

From Copenhagen City Centre 

  1. Train
    • Depart from Copenhagen Central Station (København H) on a regional (RE or Øresundståg) train bound for Roskilde. Ensure it stops at Trekroner Station.
    • Travel time: ~25 minutes.
    • Tickets: Purchase via DSB app or Rejseplanen; approx. DKK 80 one‑way.
       

From Roskilde Station

Option 1: Bus (Recommended)

  1. At Roskilde Station, exit the building and look for the bus terminal directly outside.
  2. Take Bus 201A heading toward Trekroner/RUC.
    • Travel time is approximately 10–15 minutes.
  3. Get off at the stop “Roskilde Universitetscenter (RUC)”.
    • This stop drops you close to the main campus area.
  4. Walk to Building 45
    • From the RUC bus stop, walk east through the main square ("Square Root") and past the central library.
    • Follow campus signage to Building 45.
    • Walking time from the bus stop: 5–7 minutes.
       

Option 2: Walking

  • If you're up for a longer walk, you can go on foot from Roskilde Station to RUC.
  • Distance: About 4.5 km (2.8 miles).
  • Walking time: Around 45–55 minutes.
  • You’ll walk through Trekroner residential area and cross Trekronervej to reach campus.
     

Option 3: Bike

  • Roskilde Station has bike rentals, including Donkey Republic bikes (app-based).
  • Bike route: Follow signs toward Trekroner and RUC along the dedicated bike lanes.
  • Travel time: Approx. 15–20 minutes by bike. 

 

Getting to the Conference venue

  1. Walking from Trekroner Station
    • Exit station and walk straight across Trekronervej, through Trekroner Centre to the pedestrian bridge.
    • Follow the path along the lake; after passing the sports field, turn right toward the library, then continue to the main campus entrance ("Square Root") - this takes around 10 minutes.
  2. Locating Building 45
  • Once on campus, use RUC’s interactive MazeMap or campus PDF map to find Building 45.
